My friend brought up that the Large conglomerates are purchasing the smaller natural company's. Such as:
1.. Burt's Bees now owned by Clorox
2. Odwalla owned by Coke
So I said, yes and
3. Tom's of Maine is owned by Colgate/Palmolive
4. Brown Cow and Stonyfield Yogurt are owned by Danone
5. oh and Pepsi owns Naked Juice
6. Coca-Cola also owns Glaceau, the company once known for its "fresh new approach to bottled water that is inspired by nature and enhanced by science." Glaceau is the maker of Vitamin Water, Fruit Water, Smart Water and Vitamin Energy -- all bottled waters that are adorably marketed and loaded with sugar.
7. Kashsi Cereal's owned by Kellogg
8. Back to Nature - owned by Kraft foods. Kraft is a subsidiary of Altria, which also owns Philip Morris USA, one of the world's largest producers of cigarettes.
9. Green and Black's organic chocolate was taken over in 2005 by Schweppes,
the 10th-largest company in North American packaged-food sales
10. Dagoba Chocolate, sorry folks it's Hershey Foods
Ok my beautiful, small footprint, loving friends here is our chance to make a shift on this planet and with the big companys. We can not change who ownes our favorite products but we can hold them accountable for keeping them 'Organic" "Natural" " NON-GMO". We can watch them, call them on their shit and make the world take notice. Do Not let them take advantage of the word "Natural", instead teach them to hold it at the highest standard and that we, mother natures children are watching
and will not take there bull. We are now responsible for making sure that an acquired ethical company can influence its new parent to improve its corporate behavior by being in their face about it. Maybe we can also influence these hugh conglomerates to give back some of the profits to the planet. Who knows!!!!
